Celebrate National Disability Independence Day

In the United States, July 26 is recognized as National Disability Independence Day in commemoration of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which was signed into law on this date in 1990. The ADA prohibits the discrimination of individuals with disabilities and ensures full participation in communities while promoting independence.

The ADA covers the areas of:

  • Employment
  • Transportation
  • Public accommodations
  • Communications
  • State and local government services

Visit ADA.gov to learn more about the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The ADA continues to change lives by providing equal opportunity to persons with disabilities. Check out this YouTube playlist from our sister company TPGi to learn what the ADA means to Vispero employees, and join us in celebrating National Disability Independence Day!
